Exhaling

I can now drop the cup anywhere I want;
Anywhere is indifferent to me.
Even sleep on the table, if it proves cozy enough.
Walk around the park without my socks on

"Dear," the name doesn't haunt anymore.
The sun is up so I will bask in it,
like a lizard,
like a snake,
or any other reptile that sheds it's skin
And now want something new, something better.
I will run around in the rain
With a rubber cane,
Not minding the thunder
All those now are nothing but wonder.

I will travel miles every day,
unloading my backpack along the way,
throwing out my clothes, shoes, and anything that doesn't matter now.

Freedom from reprimands by his folks.
His liberty to do things without been scolded is a source of unlimited joy for the bard.
I just wish the poem was longer, but he did a fantastic job. Thumbs up to him.

Nothing sets a soul free than freedom itself and this was greatly expressed in the poem. It's undeniable the peace with being able to freely breathe after a period of suffocation.
I however find flaws in the poem particularly in the use of punctuation.

Unapologetically free,
No apologies for living life as it is.
There's not enough rope to tie him down,
He is a wild heart, and his freedom can't be denied.
He has prevailed, risen above sentiments and opinions.
He only wants to live for himself now, self love.

This is the voice of freedom really. Freedom is central to the realization of human personality

This poem really speaks my mind. Beyond freedom, I just love to be alone, to be on my own, and do anything I love to do all by myself, without any poking nose around. Just that life doesn't permit, man just must cohabit and have partners at several moments in life.

It's interesting seeing someone voice this out. I do love the imageries used in the poem. The poem also tells us that being on your own makes you do some silly and irrational things like "sleeping on a table", throwing out clothes and shoes". So I think, despite the freedom you get when you are on your own, it's just always good you have eyes around you to keep you in check as well.

It's really nice reading through.

Joseph has captured freedom with beautiful imagery in this poem. Though the poem felt short and left me longing for me, it is no denying that he knows what it means to be really free.
