Slowly, we part ways
And with goodbye whispers, stole away; Then enmity came to stay. We were subtle, Guilty of pride, loss of mantle And treaty that bonded our castle; Now in peace, we battle Till in grave, we settle. Obioha Chibuike Clement is a Nigerian writer and this poem is a submission received from the July 2017 SLM 1 year anniversary poetry contest.

True words! 1 minute of silence turns into hours which turns into days, weeks and months. Before you know it, no one wants to say the first hello and the bond which was once strong gradually weakness and friends become strangers
