SPRINNG MFA ORIENTATION

The SprinNG Advantage Program began with the SprinNG MFA Orientation, a dynamic 1-day panel led by Kanyinsola Olorunnisola (University of Alabama). Highly successful MFA students and graduates, Adedayo Agarau (University of Iowa), Iquo DianaAbasi (University of Alabama), Nkiacha Atemnkeng (Texas State University), and Ucheoma Onwutuebe (University of Nevada) answered questions about the MFA Application process and their program experience.

On August 11 and 12, the MFA Orientation continued as I.S. Jones, Author of Spells of My Name, led a 2-day session themed "How to Apply to an MFA Program.” These sessions led by I.S. Jones were open to all, catering especially to African poets.
