Threats on their lips.
Bullets in their guns.
Crawling on my knees.
Referendum, my stake.
Coal, steel, cotton, latex a history.
The green land a mystery.
If I retaliate,
Will my unborn child see the light?

Well written.
This poem echoes the voice of the masses in a land where oppression rules. It felt like I couldn't get enough of it, I had to read it over and over again. So heart-touching.

I love the fact that the poem is short and still passed the message, shows the writer's conscious use of words. I also love the theme of the Poem. The last line got me asking for more.
