Dear SprinNG Family,

In the past month, we have made changes to our website, programmes, contests, and more.

Most significantly, we re-branded our name from Sprinng Literary Movement and henceforth will be called SprinNG. Please take note of the following changes name-wise.

• All our social media accounts – Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, have been renamed SprinNGlm. You can follow us on LinkedIn by searching for SprinNG.
• Our email address changed from sprinngliterarymovement@aol.com to Contact@SprinNG.org.

• Publications: Through our website, we publish reviews, poems, stories, essays, fiction, and all that engender the soul of the national literature. To see our publications schedule and the time-table for the year, visit our Quick links page. 
  • Win monthly N5,000 Gift-Cards to shop at Roving Heights Bookstore. Here is how:
    ​​Starting February, when you read the current publications on the SprinNG website for the month, write a comment on 2 or more of the publications before the month ends. The SprinNG team will evaluate the comments and select the winner of the giveaway at the end of the month. Click HERE to learn more.

• The SprinNG Writing Fellowships: We conduct an annual creative writing fellowship, providing 5 weeks of free mentorship to select writers with resources such as airtime, paid access to books and more, during the fellowship. We currently offer two fellowships and applications are open from January 1 – April 15, 2020.   • SprinNG Writing Fellowship (SWF):
    This programme focuses on 6 genres of literature: Poetry, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Book Review, Play/Drama and Blogging. During the 5 weeks, mentees will be in contact with their mentors, sending them their works, getting reviews and commentaries. Mentors and mentees will aim to work on at least 1 piece of writing in their select genre per week. The SprinNG Creative Writing Fellowship is only open to writers that have not published a book before (eBook/hardcopy).   • SprinNG Advancement Fellowship (SAF): This programme is geared towards supporting past mentees in applying their creative writing skills and knowledge to their academic and career pursuits. During the 5 weeks, mentees will receive feedback and guidance from their mentors on the following Career & Academic advancement materials: Resume or Curriculum vitae, Cover letter, Personal statement writing and Creative writing portfolio and LinkedIn account creation. Applicants to the SAF programme may or may not have published a book. • SprinNG Lit: We have a page dedicated to promoting other literary websites worldwide and informing writers of opportunities outside what SprinNG offers. Visit www.sprinng.org/sprinng-lit to see all the recommended websites with easy clickable tabs. We challenge you to explore at least 2 literary websites per week and discover what they offer - contest, publications, mentorships, free books etc.

 

• The Nigerian Writers Database: The SprinNG team is building the first online database for Nigerian writers - www.nigerianwriters.info which will host their biographies, blog links, and social media accounts. In addition to finding the names of these writers, you can search for information per theme or genres to find writers. If you are a Nigerian Writer and would like to be part of this opportunity, click HERE to fill the form with your information. If you have submitted your biography before but will like to update your information, use the same link above to submit a new form.

 

• SprinNG Contests:​ Click HERE for more information about all our contests.
  • The SprinNG Women Author's Prize (#SWAPng) will select a Nigerian Female Author annually - someone who has published a full-length book in print and invest N100,000 in purchasing, distributing, and marketing copies of their book Nation-wide through our sister literary websites and events whom we collaborate with. Click HERE for more details about the SprinNG Women Author's Prize.
  • We also run an annual SprinNG Poetry Contest with a unique theme to celebrate our anniversary. The prize includes N15,000 Cash and N10,000 Gift-Card to shop at Roving Heights bookstore. Contest opens on March 1 and ends on June 30. Click HERE for more details.

 

• SprinNG Reviews: We have trained book reviewers who provide honest feedback and recommendations. We aim to serve Nigerian authors, promote them and their works to the right target demographic at home and abroad. In addition, we provide online (social media) advertisements, email blast to our subscribers, book review publications to our sister sites and interviews on our website for select-authors.
